APPS for a Manual transmission
I have been having the dead pedal experiance going with my truck. I did the APPS reset and it went away for a while. Then came back and set the codes for TPS low voltage and all that. So reset it again.
When it does kill the pedal I can get it to work again by wiggling the wires leading to the APPS. I have tried to find the APPS but the local parts stores (except for the Steelership) have nothing listed for APPS, only TPS. I tried Advanced but it came back with a 3 pin connector, not the 6 like I need. What is the part number for the Manual APPS, or is it (crosses fingers) the ECM?

I would look on e-bay, seriously I bought one from a 99 or 2000 auto for under $100 bucks and it has worked great on my manual. Purchase a used one from years 98.5 to 2000 maybe 01 to be safe. It's a dealer only part BUT you can get one at a cummins shop for less than dealer.

It's pretty much a dealer-only item, since it comes with the bellcrank assembly. Best to take the old one off and get the part number. Transitown Dodge in NY gives a 25% discount, which is where I got mine. When you put the new one on, put a bead of RTV silicone around the side of the bellcrank that the sensor is on...that'll keep the carwash water out of the new sensor.
