Air Filter.....Problem.....
Air Filter....Errrr..Problem....
Last weekend I had an experience I wanted to share.
I was trying to tighten a loose exhaust manifold bolt and in order to get to it pulled the air box off its studs and moved it aside. Afterwards while putting it back in place I thought I would check my air filter and see how dirty it was. I had replaced it about 10 months earlier. Much to my surprise I find the filter had been sucked up into the intake tube and was badly mangled. This was a Mopar air filter. I noticed that the metal mesh on the back of it was much lighter than the metal mesh on my K&N filter so I ended up putting it back in. I didn't see any dirt on the turbo blades and I changed my oil and filter after that. Hopefully it didn't suck much dirt in.
