So if I get this straight.
Timbo01's product has the potential to fix dead pedal, and searching?
My truck will search constantly on a flat road....Sounds like it could help me.
What do ya'll who have this think?
Thanks!

Ok, so here I sit, 5500 km into the Timbo revolution.
5500km of the most unforgiving conditions in the world. no lie, a lot of warm running, on rough roads, which are generally the bane of these things, due to the constant pedal bounding action and so on. As well as the unit being trapped in an oven under that stupid mounting bracket.
The results.
Good deal, no dead pedal, no stumble, no surging, no codes. Still haven't had time to dial in the setting as far as off Idle and WOT goes, but I am not too worried. I'll get to that when my season slows down a bit. The end result is, good.
Should the unit outlast the average 15 months that I was getting out of the stock units, I'll be happy as Larry. If it only lasts 15 months, its still a heck of a lot cheaper than the factory unit. Therefore, you still win.
Thanks Tim, for the phone time discussing everything from shipping errors to pedal sensors to the addition of WMO to your fuel to help lube the pumps.
Keep up the good work.

just came across this thread after doing a search suggested in another thread i posted today.
i have been having this problem with my truck ever since i got it last janurary, however as of lately, it is actually becoming a problem.
back when i first got the truck in Jan of 07, i noticed that after driving with the cruise control on for some time, idle would be up around 1000rpm and the exhaust brake wouldnt work. about 9 months ago i was driving from Houston to dallas. i took my exit in ennis and when i came to a stop at the light the idle was around 1100-1200. as soon as i let the clutch out, i got a CEL and had no throttle response. checked the codes with my superchips and had P0121. This is a voltage to low code. i cleared the code and when i started the truck back up, everything was good to go. havent had any problems for the last 9 months. then as i was driving to work monday morning, i lost all throttle and the CEL came on. this time i was driving with the cruise on and going 65ish. pulled over and repeated the process above. same p0121 code and same results after clearing the code with the superchips. the difference this time is that it happened while i was driving down the highway, with the cruise control.
this morning as i was "evacuating" houston i drove through college station to pick my fiance up. when i exited the highway and pushed in the clutch at the light, idle was ~1200 rpm. i took off through the light and shortly there after no throttle and p0121. cleared the codes and off i went. about 45 minutes later (near North Zulch), it happened again. the difference the last time it happened is that i hadnt been using the cruise for a good 20 minutes.
now with the code and some common sense, one would say that the APPS is the likely candidate. however, the only common theme between all situations is that the cruise had been in use.
to test my theory out, after clearing the p0121 code this morning, i drove from North Zulch to Ennis (hour and a half) without cruise. no problems what so ever. when i stopped in enis idle was normal 800-900 rpm. i decided since i was somewhat close to home, i would try the cruise and see what the results were. i used it for all of about 20 miles. sure enough, as soon as i turned it off and came to a stop, idle was around 1100 rpm. i did not get a CEL or no throttle this time though.
i think the issue may be that the cruise is giving some feedback, even when turned off. it is sporatic though. sometimes, after using the cruise, idle will return to normal, but most of the time it wont.
can someone please help me out or give me places to check? i dont want to keep thinking it is a problem with the cruise and be stranded on my way back with a bad APPS.
if the concensous is that it is definatly an APPS problem, i will be giving timbo a call monday morning...
PLEASE HELP....

The only other thing is that when I'm not using cruise control, my truck surges, and according to my Edge Attitude monitor, my throttle % is jumping up and down.
My truck is booked in at Dodge for diagnostics on Monday, since I want to be 100% sure that its the APPS, and if it is, I'll be ordering Timbo's APPS when I get back home.

!UPDATE!
Got the sensor in tonight and whoa my throttle feels better seems I have more response don't know if its just me but I will be able too tell over the next few days. Upon inspecting the the old sensor it appears the "tang" were the bell crank goes into the sensor is broke on one side you can clearly see a crack and I can only imagine that when the pedal is pushed it goes past were its supoda. Awsome deal Tim eassssssssssy instructions took about half hour to get it all in a buttoned up once I was able too get a good ground for my meter.

try that and see where it gets you.
Tim is a busy guy, works his butt off in addition to doing this stuff, but he is very pleasant to deal with.
