AFE oem filter replacement

Because I live a 6400 alt I wanted a little more air. However, The truck makes enough noise without adding turbo whistle. Other than ez chip the truck is stock and does not require a ton of air, I think. Has anyone ever used a afe oem filter. It claims up to 20 percent air flow increase. While I know that is not as much as a stage 1, it should give me air lost by altitude. It cost me 70.00 and I hope I did not waste money. Just wondering if anybody ever used one. Thanks

I don't think you will get that much more whistle from an aftermarket filter as long as you leave the silencer ring in.
I took mine out and have the BHAF. I like the whistle.
Someone who has done the aftermarket with the silencer still in might have something to say.
