hey guys in case you didn't read my other threads i am getting a 99' Dodge and was wondering if the 99's had the updated timing case for the dowel pin.. and if they don't is there anyone willing to help me get that tabbed or use a kit once i get the truck... I live in pa now....

 

Some of 'em do and some of 'em don't. What's the build date? I did an 4/99 build date truck with the new case. If you're concerned, send me a PM and we'll set up a time to take care of it - I could practically chuck a rock at you.

 

I have heard of KDP affecting as new as 2001 trucks. My understanding is that when they designed the new cover they mixed the new one with the old one on the assembly line so there is not official, clear cut off spot for the old cover design. For me, it was worth the minimal time and money to have the KDP pinned on my 1999. One less thing to worry about.
