Realize that the dealers try to make money of your loan by offering a high interest rate so they can get a hold back. Shop around for better interest rates and don't do it through a dealer unless it is a good rate, around 7% +/- seems like a decent rate for a 99 model truck.

If you are a member of a credit union, you should be able to get a rate less than 5%. My credit union has 4.75% on used vehicles up to 60 months. Definately don't go through the dealer for a loan, they will always try to get more money through the loan.

San Antonio, Houston, Corpus Christi area. Hmm, a credit union, I think i am a member in the one where my dad works (Chemical Federal Credit Union). That also reminds that they preapproved me for 10xxx on my last truck when i didnt have a decent job or any credit. Didnt end up using it, just paid cash on the truck. Mabey I should wake up and go apply there.

I'm 21, and got a 24 month loan @ $200/month for a $15,000 trailer. The Bank Fully financed it. At 8.5%

I have 0 credit. I didn't even have a reported income, or credit cards. NOTHING. I don't think it should be too hard. Maybe you should come down here to this bank ?

I drive by several lots everyday that have many Dodge Cummins trucks. Is the 5 speed a must or is the 6 speed acceptable?

well id rather have a 5 speed seeing that i already have a con-o from sbc for a 5 speed, but i guess i could sell it and get one for a 6 speed. I bought it awhile back slightly used from don m, still looks great, almost no wear that i can see on it.
