I have the 47RH with a V-10, I am in the process of swapping in a 99 Cummins TD, however I have to use the wiring harness of the 99 for the enigne, but the transmission that came with the 99 is the 47RE and the connectors are different.
Has anyone done this swap before?

I hope that I don't need to buy a 47RE, the tranny that is in it is just fine.

I am hoping that I could just splice the wires into the existing transmission wiring harness, what do you guys think?

the torque converter from the gasser is not compatable and u will need a diesel pcm.
