2002 Warranty Question

Does anyone have a link, copy, original saved web page, anything covering the 7 year 100,000 mi. special warranty that was used as a sales tool on the last 02 trucks. My dealer who I bought the truck new from does not seem to remember this. I know it to be true because that was the final straw that made me get a leftover truck in the first place.

Why not just go into the service department and ask them when your warranty is over? SNOKING

Pretty sure mine's in my glovebox.

Little plastic thingy, contained the owners manual, tire warranty, and actual warranty.

Should be able to get a copy from the parts dept.

Pretty sure the Dealer is required to keep a copy handy as well, but could be wrong about that.

any dealer can run your vin and tell you what you have for a warranty. have them run service contracts also.

First off thanks to those who responded to my question. I am having an acceleration problem with my truck in which some people on here say is related to a sticking wastegate lever. So I called my servicing dealer whom I bought the truck off of new and explained to him what the truck was doing he said bring it in and they'll look at it. I said fine but remember it is still under warranty and he said how many miles are on it? 73, 284 he said, you will be responsible for the costs then because it is out of warranty. I said my truck has a special 7yr 100,000 mi warranty that was only made available on late 02 H/D trucks, and he said he never heard of it. Well I called DCX customer service and THEY confirmed this for me. I had looked in my owners manual for the extra warranty and there was nothing, so naturally after reading some of the horror stories on here i was just a bit concerned but I think it will be fine I hope lol

Unless they ran your vin # to confirm coverage they were pretty much assuming you had the regular 3/36 and cummins eng warranty. It will all be in the computer.
