My brother dropped him 2001 off for me to look at.before he told me that it ran good but sometimes it miss and blow black smoke. Anyway I hook up the code reader up and get a 219 code so I hook a pressure gauge up to the truck has O pressure he pulls up and go talk to him and it dies and will not restart. Then he tells me its been hard to start at times and a few other things its been doing I have been trying to get him to drop it off for a few months now . we put stock lift pump on it about 2 years ago. What lift to put on it now that will live longer that 2 years> thanks Ken

 

The lift pumps seem to be a weak link in the 24Vs.
My high dollar Air Dog system on my old 24V would go through the electric pump every year with less than 25,000 miles on it. Even with a lifetime warrantee on the pump, it got really old.
Hopefully some will chime in with a better choice.

 

I know there is a wide range of pumps for these trucks he is not going to put a tuner on the truck the most he does with the truck is haul his 18' jet boat to the river on the weekends to go fishing. what about one of the l round pumps over the stock Carter pump . thanks Ken
