From stop starts in second gear when in drive pull selector to first gear goes to first shifts fine after that. No codes and cleaned all grounds, connectors and added ground to transmission to frame any suggestions ?

From the service manual, troubleshooting table for the 47RE:

Symptom:
No low gear (moves in 2nd or 3rd gear only)

1. Governor Circuit Electrical Fault. - Test with DRB3 scan tool and repair as required.

2. Valve Body Malfunction. - Remove, clean and inspect. Look for sticking 1-2 shift valve, 2-3 shift valve, governor plug or broken springs.

3. Front Servo Piston Cocked in Bore. - Inspect servo and repair as required.

4. Front Band Linkage Malfunction - Inspect linkage and look for bind in linkage.

Hope this helps.

For grits and shins adjust your TV cable and add some throttle pressure. Adding it is moving the cable towards the firewall.
