Would 94 dually rear end fit 93?

I have the chance to buy a rear end for this project truck I found. It is a 93 dually single cab cummins, 5 speed, 2wd for $800!!!!!!!!!!! Guy wants it off his farm but it doesn't have a rear end and I can't tow it nor do I want to pay a flat bed to tow it about 70 miles. thanks Aaron

I just measured my 1992 3/4 ton 4wd with a Dana 70 and a 1999 1 ton dually with a Dana 80 and they both measured 43" from center spring to center spring. My guess is that you are in good shape!

The driveshaft has to be shorten about 1 3/4 inch. Get the brackets and the u-bolts and nuts. The brackets need to be modified for the shocks to bolted to them ( this is easy to do).

I have a 1991 D-250 that I put a 1997 dually rear axle in. The tubes are larger in diameter, thats the reason for needing the brackets that go under the axle. The axle I have has outboard brake drums. This makes brake repair a lot easier. I would think that all the Dana 80 have this type of brake drum.

Either way you go, its a good investment. But understandably a pain in the butt to move.

If you were closer, I'd lend you my spare axle to ya to get it onto and off the trailer.

I'll send you a PM if I head that way in the next week or two.
