Would a 12cm work???
So I am carrying a load of about 1200lbs to the scrap metal yard, and noticing how much nicer it would be if my turbo spooled a little sooner. The hills and stop and go were killing me. I daily drive her with a bit on the highway (65-70) and see WOT rarely. The rest of my commute is backroads and hills. Mostly use the throttle for get up n' go. I was planning on putting a Stage III/IV upgrade on the 18.5, but wonder if that plus a 12cm WG would be better? I don't plan on adding injectors or much more fuel (maybe a fuel pin) but I think I am at the limit without an intercooler now. After reading a bit, I am curious if I am pushing too much fuel for a 12cm, or could I make it work. Opinions??

I had a 12cm on my 93 and it was a great addition. The spool up was nice and I didn't loose anything on the top end. I was running about 28 psi with the stock 18.5 cm and ran just a hair over 28 with the 12 cm at WOT. Also I never got into EGT problems. Now if you are running bigger than stock injectors, you may be better served with a 16. But, with pump mods only (and I had done just about all of them) you should be fine as far as fueling goes.

With your fueling mods etc.. I think a 12cm will work very well for you That thing will be way more driveable after the housing mod than it is now. You'll be surprised I'm very sure!
