Dont buy the housing by itself. You can get a hx-35 with the 12 together for about the same price as just the housing. ($300 range)

I've never seen a 12 cm housing priced that high. They go for $50 or so on Ebay, they also show up in the classifieds on DTR. Try placing a wanted ad in the classifieds. I got mine for killin' a KDP, to most guys who've taken them off they're just another piece of junk cluttering the garage.

Does a stock downpipe have length to make the 12 work, or do you need more/different pipe?

Furious70-
You actually need less pipe. The 12 cm housing is about 1.5 inches longer due to the wastegate. Some guys have had success pushing the downpipe back, others have cut a section out and rewelded. I upgraded my exhaust at the same time I did the turbo swap. The downpipe that came with the system had the flange welded into the pipe, so I cut the pipe off square as far back as I could, then machined the weld off the flange, stuck the flange back in the pipe and had a buddy tig it up. The heat shield clears the heater box soundproofing by a gnats whisker. With your 5 speed you're almost guaranteed get flutter at the bottom of 4th and 5th out of this swap. Doesn't seem to affect the performance any, but some say it's bad for the turbo.

Hi Darl, thanks for the post. I think I've found one, but it might be a few days to work it out. I'll let you know.
Thanks!
