worn drive shaft carrier

This is my first attempt posting a pic...
I'm thinking the part in this photo needs to be replaced. Seems like he drive shaft can bounce around.

There's a how-to on posting pics in the "Suggestions, Comments, & Site Questions" forum.

1.38 or 1.54 bearing inside dia? Rock auto has both.
Do I just drop the axle at the rear end and slide it back to get the bearing in?

Easiest way for me was to drop the whole shaft with carrier on it. I changed out u-joints/straps at the same time.

I have to replace my carrier bearing about every two years. It has a front and a back, so make sure you get it right.
