I've only got 1 battery but I'm deffinitely not normal My truck is almost normal - does that count? I am running a Optima Deep Cycle yellow top and it works just fine.

Only one battery here. In AZ there's absolutely no need for 2 batteries. I can see the need for it in Minnesota or some other part of the frozen tundra, but anywhere that the temps rarely go below 10 degrees there's just no point.

I Just replaced mine before winter it was still working good but the tag on the battery and the receipt from the previous owner said it was 7 years old, so I had it tested and it was just under the pass/fail mark on the machine. The power strokes that I have worked on in the past all had two low profile batteries and they seemed to need replaced at least every two years and I doubt they ever last seven. The truth is for most cummins owners you just don't need two.

3 here, but like someone else said... that's in 3 trucks. only one per truck and they work great.

DAY-UM that positive is close to that support... Ever get any light shows??? I've often wondered where 2 batteries would fit. Never even seen a first gen with 2 before.
