WHo has installed an aftermarket proportioning valve?

hey-Hey!!!,
Title says most ov it. What sorts of troubles did you have? Fitting issues? Adjustment issues? RWAL sux even at its best( and mine is lighting its dash warning light and striking for better working conditions ).
cheers,
Douglas

When I rebuilt my whole brake system I installed one of these,

seems to work okay. I also added residual valves.
Ill try to get a picture tommorrow.

It doesn't allow all the fluid to drain back into the reservoir. MOPAR 4-wheel-drum cars used them so the return springs wouldn't pull the shoes clear back to the stops. Makes it so that they hit the drum with less pedal travel.
You also need them in a custom build if the calipers/wheel cylinders are mounted higher than the master.
Or so I've read.

Residual valves are a small valve that are installed in the lines.
2 psi valve goes in the front system and a 10 psi valve goes in the rear system.
Residual valve leave a small amount of pressure in the lines.
Having a little residual pressure in the system means there is less "hydraulic slack" in the system.
"These in-line pressure valves retain a minimum brake line pressure to help eliminate excessive pedal travel in disc brake systems. ... "

Thanks for the picture.
I see brake-lines going into a RED gizmo and a BLUE gizmo; what are they and what do they do ??
Also, I see what looks like some type of sensor with two terminals and no wires connected (that I can see anyway); what is it ??
And, the big black --- I think it is a **** ---, is that for adjustment ??
Your installation looks professional and up there high-and-dry is much better than tucked down in the rails somewhere.

COOL !!!! ; then if I procure one of those switches, I can solve a brake-light situation on a completely different project.I am glad I asked.
The pictured proportioning valve, where does it come from and what is the part-number ??
Thanks.

Don't want to answer a question that is not aimed at me, but I will assume he is getting it from speedway since he has the valves from them? Looks the same to me.
