white smoke help?

Got the 2wd running the other dfay after a rebuild. Runs an idles very well, but when you get on it in like 4th or 5th gear insted of black smoke it white. Pump was not removed when rebuilt. still at factory position. The truck runs good but it seems as it should have more power than it does I have turned the fuel screw up. Before I did that it would blow white smoke just on a real hard free rev. Could there be a problem with the KSB/ injectors are new, an have 18psi fuel pressure at WOT. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas!

18 psi @wot is a lot of pressure for a ve pump. Is there and oil in the water or water in the oil? Are you loosing coolant?

Did you mix up the banjo bolts? The one that's supposed to be on the return line has a restriction.

I don't think air in fuel causes white smoke, but I could well be wrong. White is an indication of liquids, e.g. uncombusted fuel. If you just replaced your injectors, make sure they're all working like they should, and that you got the right angle spray pattern for your pistons. Also, check your timing. I know you said it's all stock, but check it again anyway. Are you 100% sure the timing gear went on at the right tooth mark, or was it retarded one or two?

I acually never took the pump off, but it seems to not be white smoking as much as it was. maybe it just needed some miles put on the new rings.
