Some time ago one of our members made an air box out of a cook pot that looked and worked well using a big honk'n air filter. He had some good photos of the fab and install. Try a search under BHAF. I am thinking of doing something like it myself.

I think it was BC847 who made the stock pot airbox.

I'm almost done making my stock pot cold air box, it has been a slow and tedious process but I am pleased at what I have done so far. It appears to be able to easily outflow the stock piece.

I'm headed out the door to work on a few fabrication projects, I'll see if I can get pics together tonight. I did change the design slightly for strength.

Till I find a good one for me to buy for a replacement (seems like all the goodies for these trucks start in 1994) you could do what I did. Just take a cordless drill and use about a 3/4 inch drill bit and start drilling in the stock air box....Swiss cheese it, if you will. It ain't pretty but it's pretty effective and it WILL breath better. The only drawback is that the air filter will need cleaning/replacing more often. But it works!! Chuck
