What will the Baby H1C take????
What will the Baby H1C take????
I am a bit concerned, My baby h1c is now pushing 40 lbs boost, I checked, and it is tight, No wiggle anywhere, no barking, seems to be ok,, Your thoughts???
Peter.

The little H1C doesn't bark bery easily, I think because it's not pushing very much air to begin with, even at higher boost pressures
I personally think that with the lighter rotating mass of the small compressor, 35-38psi is safe, but by the numbers, you're well out of that map of the turbo, and now that's I've said 35psi is ok, it will likely grenade the next time you drive it
I tried to keep my stocker under 34, and I keep the hybrid under 30, though I've pegged my 40psi gauge many times in the heat of the moment
edit: it's time for a wastegated housing

I ran one for a while at up to 39 PSI boost and eventually it went south
I would go with that HT turbo hybrid compressor housing, it will slow the turbo down a bit and push a lot more volume at a lower turbo speed. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=112422
