What tach?

What are you guys using for an after market tach? I have installed a few in gasser cars and trucks, but never in a diesel. What do they hook to on a '89 Cummins?

mine is an alternator mount that has a range of 0-5,000 RPM. I believe it is the autometer design, very easy to hook up.

I have an Isspro 4000 rpm tach #5503. It is only a 2 1/16 face, but I like it. You have to install a crank sensor, which consists of two magnets that glue to the damper, and a pick-up just below it an an oil pan bolt. Some minor wiring and you have a tach in your truck. Some guys run the autometer that take a signal off the alternator. Hope that helps.
