You can get better access at that back allen screw by retarding your pump to save yourself some time via yanking the whole thing. Loosen the 3 injection pump nuts (13mm) and loosen the throttle bracket one on the injection line end (10mm I think), and retard the pump timing all the way AWAY from the head. Might give you better access to that bolt to get the pump top off.

If you do need to remove the pump, you would have to go this far anyway. Good luck

Ive got the pump off the truck now and I think Im going to go ahead and reseal it while its off, ive already got the kit so I mine as well i guess. I wont be able to get my hands of a barring tool till monday anyways to put the pump back on.
By the way is it totally necessary to have a barring tool?

No, you don't need a barring tool.

A 1/2 drive breaker bar with a 15mm socket, used on the front balancer bolts will do all you need to do, without the aggravation of going under the truck 10 times to adjust the position.

As far as the broken off screw goes, I'd be talking very earnestly to it's manufacturer about why it broke.

Mark.

so I got the pump resealed, took the broken fuel screw out and put it back on the truck, purged the system and its not starting. It looks like im only getting fuel to the first and last injector. Did I mess something up?
