What the Heck are "Plates"?
Re:What the Heck are "Plates"?
The fuel plate adjust the rack position on the injector plungers in the pump at full boost position on the P7100 pump. (94 - 98.4 trucks).. Clear as mud right???
Well take a boo at this site Dodge Ram.org and look through the diesel section. It has some description of the fuel plates and their purposes.
Then take a look at this page.PIERS Diesel This is an adjustment to the governor lever that rides on the fuel plate. Also a general description of the plate and function.
I have to poke around some more for a better description on how to adjust it. There was a great write up in the TurboDieselRegister magazine about 2 issues ago about how it works. Not much help here though. [undecided]
