"What in the heck is it????"

Found this on ebay. 91 dodge with 90 frontend. Heres whats throwing me. It is intercooled, has the 518 judging by the o/d switch, and the best- engine code C in the vin. Only thing I can figure is someone wrecked the front end and replaced it with a 90. Or did Dodge have a fluke, or maybe a MExico truck???? Beats me...

That is cool, I kinda like the old grills.

It seems they did some weird things at the end of each model year. I called a dealer a while back that had one just the opposite of this one, IC grill with Non IC engine and non OD trans. I asked them if they knew what had been done to it previously and they just told me "who cares?" we don't know! find a different dealer! Guess they don't like to be bothered with that sort of thing, least they could have done is lie like they usually do!

Hmmm, that truck is less than half an hour from me, I've never seen it running around though. Too many projects already.

but didn't they switch to intercooled halfway through 1991, therefore making half the 91's non-IC, the rest IC?

Yup. I have a non-ic '91 with the factory original IC grill.

I want to know how it's intercooled, has A/C, and the factory non-i/c grill fits without any cutting.

Isnt that actually a grill from early 80s. My brother said it looked identical to his 82. Im thinking he wrecked it and thats what he had.
