What Happens To All Our Fan Shrouds?

Just like the title says...what happens to all our fan shrouds that breaks them? And has anyone found a source for a new one?

Or if not, have any of you cut your broken one in such a way that it doesn't look so bad? Post a pic.

Alot of the time when people do Transmissions swaps or anything like that they don't support the back of the engine they just let it come back and the fan puts all that 1000# of engine weight right on the plastic shroud

Also, we had a 92 truck that the motor mount went bad and the guy drove it home un knowingly and destroyed the fan shroud and fan as well because the engine moved so much

Plus its a plastic part thats 20 years old that gets hot and cold all the time and then it's in the perfect place to just lean on when you're checking out stuff on the engine.

Nothing plastic, vinyl or anything similar holds up to AZ heat, except silicone. I fixed my shroud 5 years ago with black rtv silicone and it is still holding up strong...Mark

Mine seems to be holding up ok. I cut it in half back when I replaced my head gasket to make removing the fan easier, instead of heaving to pull the fan with the shroud.
