towing 20k- got 15 mpg - pics

towed this loader 70 mile- some stop and go thru several small towns slight hills. 15 mpg hand calculated. 55-60 mph. had PLENTY of power. no egt problems. if i would have pulled some 5-6% grades for a longer distance egts and coolant would limit my speed. towing is a dream with a cummins i love too see towing pics so i thought i would post

Very impressive!!! I'd love be able to have that trailer for the parts truck I'm picking up on Saturday.

This was my latest, 2008 Honda Civic. U-haul weighs 2,100lbs. Not sure what the car weighed but I'd guess I had 6,000lbs. at most behind me.

I hope you're ready for 8000 plus a trailer, Jimbo!

That aluminum U-haul won't cut it!

I absolutely do know! I'm borrowing this one from a friend. Full-steel construction. I'd assume it'll do the trick.

The main reason I bought my truck was to drag the jeep around plus the occasional scrap run or picking up a parts car.

That's awesome Terry. I still can't get over your truck. Its one of the coolest. How have things been down there? I need to get my other tranny in so I can actually pull a hill with a load on it.
