What did you do to your Gen 1 today?

Tire rotation and balance (it was bouncing down the highway at 75-80, much better now). Went and got my 24' enclosed trailer out of storage and cleaned it up for the trip to Mt. Pleasant Tennessee where I'm picking up a 2007 Dodge Charger R/T Daytona Plum Crazy Limited Edition. I just gotta set the load transferring hitch bars and sway control and I'll be on my way.

The W-250 I bought last year from nonrev, passed state inspection with flying colors today.
Nice to have it on the road.
Thanks for selling me a such a solid 1st gen., Vern!
Poncho also got a fresh yearly state inspection sticker, which was not much of a shocker. Basically the whole truck has been mechanical gone through since I bought it 7 years ago.

Took the truck over to a Dr. Appt today. I wasn't feeling all that great to begin with and the rough ride in O.C traffic made me feel even worse. At least the BP and other vitals were OK.
Hard to tell if the truck is losing prime yet. It kind of stumbles a bit and cranks more than the normal 1st cyl to kick over startup had me concerned. It's at about 5/8 tank and the crap starts at about 1/2 or a little less.
A new thing has me concerned though. I ran the A/C all the way over and back because it got up to 95 or so today. The amp meter took to making full peg excursions to the charging side whenever I took off from a light after letting it idle a bit. It jiggles a lot too but the voltage on the DVM seems steady. I'm wondering if I have a diode going out in the alternator or if the VR is giving me problems.
Any thoughts?
Edwin

I thought I had a thread done up showing how to replace that hub bearing with simple hand tools and bench top vice, but can't seem to find it.
Found it!...

Wow, been a while since anybody posted on this thread. It used to stay pretty busy...
I started mine today for the first time in a long time (months?). Finally freed up barely enough room in the shop to get it in. Have a long list of deferred maintenance: rotors, calipers, brake lines & hoses, drivers side u-joint and king pin, deep trans pan, fuel tank straps and a bunch of other relatively minor stuff.

well admitted defeat on actually getting hydroboost done in a timely fashion. Went ahead and got a new OEM master cylinder and replumbed the brakes. Now I just need to find a volunteer to help me bleed all the brakes. Then hopefully I can drive it for the first time in 2021.
