Locked the front hubs in since we got a few inches last night, then fired up Ol' Sno-Ball and plowed the yard....calling for 6-8" tomorrow. Youngest just got her drivers license so she can drive alone and wants to know how to use the plow truck to clear the driveway.....so will probably get her out there for a crash course on the old RC.

The reason the front drive shaft has not been installed in 6+ years is the front axle U-joints are so badly seized up you can not spin the wheel with the hubs locked and the wheels turned. Looks like a front axle rebuild is in need.
...
When my right side axle u-joint started seizing up the steering went haywire! Logic seems like with the hubs unlocked and the axle off, the axles would be static and have no effect but nooooooo.

Maybe "crash course" was a bad choice of words...Mark

I've been running cocaine for the local gang. They had so much left over, I washed my truck with it, and that's the residue. Man, it was running like a banchee after that wash!

Looks like you need to plow your hood.

Ordered parts to finally take care of the KDP on my truck, hopefully I don't let them sit like the headlight relay harness that I've had for a year and haven't installed.

I would look at it like the headlight as if I had a sore knee, I can live with that a while, but look at the kdp as if I had chest pain, something that I shouldn't wait too long on, as the consequences are potentially so different...just sayin'...Mark

Well I buggered up my rear bed corner - or somebody did anyway!

Was splitting and loading wood yesterday when I notice the passenger side was crumpled above the tail light. Hadn't driven the truck for two weeks, last time was hauling hay. Only thing I can figure is the gooseneck came in contact with the rail covering the bed side top (for "protection") and hung enough to crunch it? Can't see any contact point to help deduce what actually happened. So much for a nice rust free bed. Now it matches the mysterious dent in the drivers door (thanks to an itchy cow or horse I'm guessing?) and the mysterious hole in the nice LE tailgate due to ???

Not posting pictures cause yall say with no pictures it didn't happen. Waiting for daylight to go out and actually see if that works...

I finally got my wheels and tires mounted up after driving on rear slicks for the past month or so. Went from 265/75r16s to 33x12.5r16.5s. Simple, but I love these wheels.

Looks good. I love those old Turbine, Hurricane or Western Turbine or whatever they are called.

I wish someone still made those in 16 x 10. Same with the old white spoke wagon wheels.

That's how our trucks are supposed to look, and not with those "low pro" or as I call them O-ring style tires and spacers that stick them way out passed the fenders.

I love the old Turbine wheels too. Reminds me of the style rims the General Lee ran.
Good looking truck.
I would love to see those remade in a 16X 8 and 16X10.
Finding 16.5R tires is getting hard now a days and when you can find them the tire sizes are limited.
