hello i have a 1993 dodge with the cummins turbo diesel and the battery thats in there is puny and definetly not what came with it, whats the stock cranking amps for the battery? thanks Gregg
Battery
I've been running a Interstate Workaholic battery for years. I think it is rated at 960+cca and never had a problem. I check the water level regulary and seal the posts with RTV and then put the felt pads on. Sealing the post keep your cables from getting screwed up.
The present battery I have was used in Arizona for a year or so in the heat and it made it through a winter here in Oregon with no problems. The main thing that kills batterys is not cheching the water level, this goes for any brand you moght by except the gell type.

You need at least 1000 CCA. You might call your local school bus barn and ask where they buy their batteries. I did and found that they were $85. I went to pick it up and they had several blems for $50 each.
ahh thank you, thank you thats a great help because i really need a battery soon i wanna put the truck on the road and test it out, and i knew the battery it came with was much to small 760cca , surprised it even turned it over.
