I think the best color for a 1st Gen is what is on this truck.

Hey.. That is my truck.

It is called Dark Metallic Quartz in the paint book but the actual product is PPG Envirobase T404 Trace Blue Black

I had the opportunity to choose any color when I painted my truck. I knew I wanted Dark Grey but there were a couple of pages from diffrent paint manufactures.

Nighttime color is about the same as daylight under Metal Halide lighting

I wanted my truck to be dark and not stand out so I could sneak around unnoticed but for some reason it is not working.
Everybody seems to know me wherever I go.

I'm gonna line X my whole truck black and silver on the quarter panel with my bonus this year... "No moldings" The body is as stright as a arrow so I plane on keeping it that way... I went wood cutting this past weekend and WOW I have scratches, but you talk about a stout truck!!! I can't wait to get it done!!!! I bought the truck for wood cutting, hunting, fishing, etc... I love my 92!!!

I saw a jeep line X'ed in and out and it looked great for the first week. After that it got dirt packed in the small craters, although after pressure washing it looked much better, it always had a dull look after that. Not trying to kill the idea, just a little FYI.
