My 93 is going to be like this. Dark grey with no trim. I have all the trim but think I want it gone.

If i were to paint my 90 I would keep all the trim and moulding but loose the emblems and I would keep the original 2 tone Blue/Silver

If I were to paint a 91-93 the cheesy moulding would have to go and it would be a deep forest green and tan on the bottom

I hate the trim on the newer trucks it just looks cheap

best color scheme they came up with is the silver/gray with the red stripes. still looks good after all these yrs. black whls/chrome whls doesn't matter.. seems like going to aftermarket/newer paint schemes looks contrived. that said white is always a good choice.

I like my factory paint scheme....the maroon red top and bottom with the tank in the middle. When I repaint mine I think I'm going to go back with the same scheme though I'm going to replace all of the trim with new and I may Line-X (same maroon color) from the trim down.

Another long-time favorite is the "waterfall" scheme in red over black. If I decide to swap color schemes then this is the route I'll probably go.

2-tone

One of these deep new metallic blues with a bluish tinted white. I would use the ceramic microphere paint(supose to be vastly superior on chip resistance and scratches). I'd probably hit my MB dealership and look at the color samples for new cars. Pick it out of that.

I went with a 2 tone, top and bottom. Took off most of the trim.
Its not a great paint job, but it looks a lot better than the mostly peeled off factory paint.
