What to adjust?
What to adjust?
A fuel pump dummy asking questions here!
Installed the fuel pin. Went to test drive. Noticed that the truck seems to be sluggest from a dead stop. Once the RPM's gets up it does good. Also I have little if no smoke now.
What adjustment should I make first so the truck is not so sluggest? Or what steps should I take to make the right adjustments?
Note: I use this truck mostly for pulling so I need to becarful not to get my temps to high
Thanks

You can loosen the AFC spring tension (I think it is called the starwheel, but it looks more like a gear. I'm curious who was smoking what when they named it that). turn the gear/ wheel counter clockwise a few turns. This increases the rate of fuelling increase, but keeps peak fuelling the same.
Did you get the pin installed with the tapered flat face facing forward? (Just asking; I have no idea what instructions are or arent included in those kits)
If you have gauges, try a turn on your full fuel screw. Keep an eye on temps, and if you lack a pyro, leave this one alone- you can get hot in a hury.

Am I reading things backwards here, or r they typed that way? lol
Clockwise loosens the tension
OUT 1 1/2 turns woke it up?? or IN?
You can loosen the AFC spring tension.....turn the gear/ wheel counter clockwise a few turns
I got it going now. Once I turned the fuel screw out 1 1/2 turn the old truck woke up....At 60 mph with no load the exhaust temp is running 480 to 500 on cruise....
