Rancho rs9000x with dash adjust

Gettin close to ordering the Rancho rs9000x shocks(front and rear). I am also considering the dash adjusting option. Has anyone used this configuration on their truck? Does the system work for the long run? Thanks for any help

Gary

Re:Rancho rs9000x with dash adjust

I have the in-cab remote system on my RS9000x's -- it works ok with the plastic stuff you get from Rancho, but will eventually leak out. I couldn't get 'em to hold pressure for a full day...

I picked up some aftermarket brass fittings and teflon air line from Marks Custom and now they hold for at least 3 or 4 days... [undecided]

hope this helps! ;D

Tony

Tony

Would it be better just to get the shocks without the remote? How do the adjustments work whithout air being pumped into them? It the in cab thing leakes maybe the best way to go is just the shocks.

If I go that way does it make any sence to go with the 5000's? Are they the same shock with less adjustments?

Thanks again for the help

Gary

Redleg:

Gary,

I got the remote system because I like being able to reach down and adjust them to my liking while i'm driving. Without the in-cab system, you have to crawl under the truck and turn a **** to whichever setting you want (1-9). I would assume that would be a pain trying to get it to your liking since you would have to drive, stop, adjust, drive, stop, adjust... etc... you get the picture...

I think it was about $150 for the remote system and then I spent another $130 or so for all of Mark's Custom fittings which do work ALOT better...

Even though the system leaks out eventually, I'm still happy with the convenience...

Tony

I would still get the 9000's... It seems alot of people have killed there 5000's pretty quick... I think Scotty went thru like 3 set's in a relatively short period...
