Weld super singles. Cant seem to make em fit.

  • Okay guys. 1993 w250. I bought a set of 16.5x12 weld super singles last summer for 700 bucks. Just got em polisged a few weeks ago and paid 800 to do that. Now i have 1500 in these wheels. Now these are the first generation super singles im assuming because they require the mag seat lug nut. Well i picked up some lug nuts i thought would fit. I stuck one in the wheel to see if there would be sloppiness in the lug hole and there was!!! So my thread pitch is a 1/2-20. And i cant seem to find any lugs with a bigger shank diameter then i believe it is .680 with a 1/2-20 pitch. Really dont want to get rid of the wheels. Could i got to a 9/16 wheel stud?? What are my options here guys

Quite a few guys here have upgraded to 9/16" studs. Time consuming, but easily accomplished. Now if you can find the correct lug nuts with 9/16" threads.
