Wait to start light
Wait to start light
My wait to start light/water in fuel light dosen't come on. Not a real big deal I don't guess, but would like for them to work.I pulled that panel out and it is plugged in but haven't went any further with it yet.
This is on the 89? The non-IC motors have a different heater grid set-up. The modules don't actually turn on the "Wait to start" until about -14*C or -5*F. I know this because I noticed the same thing, and was concerned about it. So over the winter when it was about -15*C I did not plug in the truck and then went out in the morning to see what would happened...sure enough the wait to start came on and the grid heaters hummed and buzzed away.
What I find with my 89 set-up is that the grid heater cycles in short burst while warming up. The module is warming up the intake air temperature. Usually does this or 1-3 minutes of so.
