Very Very Happy

I have been fighting white hot EGT's since i maxed out my VE, with 80hp DDP sticks, 4in dp to 5in stacks, 16cm housing and 14psi of WOT fuel, 3/16 timming, BHAF, 29psi boost, my pyro would fly by 1600* like a mile post so i installed a P/S intercooler and 3in cooler tubes 1525* was max, so yesterday i installed Gillett's 60mm upgrade and my boost went to a strong 38psi and today i made some good long 95mph run's and praise the Lord 1250* is it, I;m so happy about that, anyhow i'm gonna tow some heavy loads this month so cross your fingers, oh and by the way now i need a good tight converter, hopfully my stock converter is not the reason my EGT's are low,

Adding a good converter will help your engine temps and the pay off will be a little better egt.

But as you add power later that egt will go back up ...

If i put a good tight converter in won't it load the motor more and cause the egt's to go up a little?? I hope your right and they go down more, and i won't be adding more power i'm done, i just want to be able to use what i have, i'm guessing here but i may have 300-330 hp, when i get my a good converter and shift kit and a few pump adjustments and band adjustments i'm gona put it on a dyno just to see. I just gota be able to drive it and tow some heavy stuff, 10,000-16,000lbs.

The converter will make egt go up. When I put mine in it went up. Before I could not get to 1250 to save my life. Now all I changed was the converter and a lot of parts in the trans I can get to 1500.

my speed really tapers off around 90-95 in OD but I got the stock auto with a stock converter and VERY VERY bald 235-85-r16 tires that are kinda small. They literally look like slicks and their dia. is probably down to 30.25" lol. I should put my good 255/85/16 toyo tires back on but they are my winter tires.
