Vacuum part?

Hey guys, i'm workin on a non i/c 91 and i broke the thing that has a vacuum line going to it. Its on the driver fender just under the hood hinge and it also has some wires going to it. What the heck is it and do i absolutly need it? Thanks for any help.

sounds like the low vac sensor. it monitors vac levels and when they get low it lights up the parking brake and abs lights on the dash.

My 89 doesn't even have that, the wiring connector is there though. You don't really need it unless you like to have all the factory stuff working.

Did you just break the nipple off it?
