User Friendly Ff42000

When searching for Fleetguard FS1221 filters, I get many cross-references to a

FleetGuard FF42000 "User-Friendly Version"

Like so :

http://www.ryderfleetproducts.com/cg...uct_detail.jsp

What is so "user-friendly" about this filter ??

I can't find a decent picture or description of it.

Being a "FF", instead of a "FS", I figure it isn't water-seperating.

Is anyone using this filter ??

I ain't just itching to order a bunch; I'm just curious.

Thanks.

Go to www.fleetguard.com. Catalog, then punch in whatever filter number you want specs of, minus micron ratings, and most of the time a picture of the filter is included.

Thank you, Mr Gilbert; I had been trying to access detailed picture information on FleetGuard filters for days and went straight to it with that link.

Thank you.

Here is the FleetGuard page on it :

It appears to be a filter, only, and not a water-seperator; I still don't see what is so user-friendly about it.

Now the user-friendly part makes sense.

I may be old-timey; but, I will stick to the old metal-case filters.

Guns, valve-covers, oil-pans, and filters are not supposed to be plastic.

Well I installed the user friendly fuel filter yesterday, went in easy! Nice unit!! And it looks cool on there! Perfect fit! It is for users with who don't use the WIF sensor. I am taking a drive from CAlifornia to Washington state Methow Valley this weekend for a week and if I don't get stuck on the side of the road I'll say it worked well :-)
