Spilled Oil in Cab on Carpet - How to Clean Up?

Like most, I keep a little box of goodies to go along with me. Extra oil, water, etc. Well, a gallon of Rotella got loose and spilled all over. I have mopped it up the best I can with towels, anyone know what to do in this case? Is there something that will break it up so I can suck it out with a car wash vacuum or something?

Ah, intresting. Just work it in then suck it out with the wet/dry? Do I use any water, or just straight dawn?

make a soapy mix, just like washing your hands and then yes use a wet dry vac to suck it out, might have to do it a coulple of times.

best to pull carpet & clean right.
It'll be in the sound deadener too . . .
I had this happen with about a gallon of sweat tea recently . . .
had to replace most of sound deadener.

Anytime I've had similar prob., pulling the carpet and pressure washing it out works best for me. Your local "do it yourself" car wash works well too. You can put the dial on soap and pressure wash it with soapy water then clean water. It will make the carpet look very newish again.

My Corolla started peeing 90W on my feet through the speedo recently. I sprayed it several times with Simple Green and mopped up then finished off with a carpet cleaner. Can't see or smell it anymore. Didn't take the carpet out.

Oil spilled is a poor mans rust stopper. Works good for that. Find a tree cutter and you will see what bar and chain oil and diesel fuel spilled everywhere does. Usually there beds are rust free. But I will agree that rotella is stinky.
