Used flatbed help

Hello,
I am needing to put a used flatbed on my 93 but donor Dodges are scarce here. I got it in my head that Chevy frame rail widths were the same as Dodge back then or was it Ford? Are these usually bolted down like on bigger trucks or will I need to make some weld on brackets? I will need to pull a gooseneck trailer. Thanks for any advice.

Chevy should be close and do yourself a favor and Trash the K&N filter before it Trashes your Motor .

i cant tell ya widths, but after ya get your long rails the same width as your frame, set it down on your frame hump above your axle, then make sure the distance between your rails and your frame are the same front and back, then get some pieces of 4" wide by 5/16 or 3/8 thick channel, weld it to the rail on the flatbed, and then drill and bolt it to your frame. I use channel because it gives it strength from side to side as well. I also make it long enough to cover about 2/3 of the frame up and down so I can get two bolts in each piece. I use three pieces on each side, but two is probably enough. I haul a lot of weight. that's how 4 out of 5 of my flatbeds are done. I'll see if I can get a pic later.

My 91 1 ton has a flat bed that has brackets that allow for the difference between the truck and bed frames width. The utility body I took off of it had the same setup. The 78 3/4 ton the flat bed came off of was also the same way. If that is confusing, all I'm saying is that the frame width and the bed width was not the same on any of it.
