Two new problems, please help...

OK, still working on my buddies rig. For a little history you can check out:
VE Adjustments
Original Problems

So, what's left... He called me and said that when he is running at speed and lets off the gas to coast down to a stop/idle, the engine is "surging" its way down to the idle. Once at idle it runs smooth, no more surging. He can put the truck in nuetral, rev it up, and let off it and it does the same thing surging its way down to idle. What would cause this?

Second there is one final leak that we can not stop. It appears that where the Allen bolt goes into the pump at the breakover spring fuel is getting out. Is that possible? Any suggestions for this?

Sounds to me like the truck is surging like that because it is on the verge of runaway.

Im not sure where exactly you are refering to with the leak but I think you might be talking about the throttle shaft and I believe its a o-ring to seal it.

Runaway?

OK, I have heard people talk about this, but what is it and what needs to be done to correct it?

OK, I'll give the FULL FUEL SCREW some adjusting... I understand this needs to be done in conjunction with IDLE SCREW adjusting....

possibly all depending on where the idle is set right now, if it is a bit high then when back the screw out it might bring it down to a reasonable level. either that or too low and you will have to adjust it back up
