turbo housing
Welcome Jake R! If you think you even MIGHT go with bigger injectors, run away from a 14cm non w/g. 14cm w/g is the cat's bananas for a hybrid. 12 w/g works to a point (about 250 rwhp) 16 is a nice compromise, especially for an auto-equipped truck.
Should be a 21 cm. It's cast into the side of the housing towards the firewall. A flashlight and an inspection mirror will tell you what you want to know.
No such animal as a cheap 14 cm wastegated housing. I considered myself lucky to pay $300 for a used one. If you want instant spoolup, switch to a used 12 cm off a 2nd gen, with the knowledge that you will have to change it once you go to bigger injectors. You ought to be able to scare one of those up for around $50. Then you can resell it when it comes time for a bigger housing.

Nothing. You will have to move the exhaust back a little because the wastegated housings are a little longer. Manual trans trucks will probably experience some low RPM/ heavy load turbo surging, this can be cured by changing to a compressor with MWE slots (WH1C, HX-35, or any of the HTT upgrades).
That may be. The trucks I'm familiar with that had a surge (mine and Alec's) are both intercooled 5 speeds.
Nobody with an automatic ever seems to have suging issues, probably because the TC doesn't load the engine hard enough at low RPM to build boost into surging territory.

and everything around here is $$$$$ so a 12 is another way to go there was this guy that was supposed to give me a free 18.5 but never herd from him again but if i have to pay $$ im gona get a 16 that seems to be right in the middle of all the guys are using cause the only thing im planning is maybe a 12 ,18,5 or 16 with maybe pods and governor 3200 springso im guessing either housing will be enough anything better than 21

Tow rig or play truck? For a play truck I'd be real tempted to run the 12 cm wastegated, with some porting and a drilled divider of course. On a working truck I'd want the freer breathing of the 16 cm.
