Not sure on the UPS-mobile. I'd venture a guess and say 12cm, but you'd really have to physically look at the housing to be sure.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I really apprecaite it. Now that we have settled the discussion on the 12 housing, anyone know how to get my hands on one? Looked on Ebay with no results. Thanks.

I will try a 12 cm, but a think a 14w/g is what I really want. I need to make some fuel pins too.

Anyone have anyof these on the bench

If you're in a hurry, HTT (and others) sell them, but plan to shell out over 100 clams. Otherwise, keep an eye on the classifieds here and e-bay and anything else you can think of. It doesn't hurt to post a 'wanted' ad here in the classifieds, either. I know I read them once a week

I checked ebay as well as the classifieds here and on TDR with no luck. I know there has to be some out there. Most likely they don't list them because they think nobody will buy them?

Jeez, I take a day off and the forum looks like a swap meet!

Guys, please use the PM system and the classifieds to conduct business, not the open forum.

Nobody uses the HX-40's anymore, really. The Schwitzer based turbos (B-1, HTB2, SPS, etc.) perform better and are more robust.

I had heard the HX-40's also have a weak shaft and are prone to brake,.

EXCUSE ME !!!!! I'm DOWN in N.J. (well maybe not for you) we southerners ,LOL, like to separate ourselves from the NY/joisey gang.
yes ,I bought it after it ended with no bids. he made me deal I couldn't refuse. ------full price or leave my premises.
BTW- the guy I bought it from is a NYer.
other than the visible damage the truck is actually clean and tight. I read all the posts here for a while and with the desire for the 5 speed trucks I decided to get it. He also has a 91.5 D350 CC there now but she's rough.
I assembled all the parts to get mine back together with the help of junkyardog and i only have to get a radiator and mounts now. I want to go ahead and use the larger IC rad. the 91-93 front end parts are difficult to find. I'm NOT in a hurry though. when i start bombing I want to make sure there is enough air there at the turbo but i don't want to pay $1000+ for a turbo. I know i could fab the stuff to run twins but I don't know what to use. I keep seeing new surplus turbos on ebay but i know nothing about sizes. so i ask little by little. :-) crossy

Yes, they use the same shaft as an HX-35, so the extra load of the larger turbine and compressor wheels makes them fragile in comparison.

Hey guys,(newbe )
I'v been reading this thread and it's gotten me thinkin about my ex housing. I have a 21cm and from the sounds of it it's the worst one so with that said, It seems that alot of people have the 12w/g or the 16 w/g or non w/g. Once I figure out which one I need then its time for a 4 inch exhaust from either rip rook or stans. I do mostly in town driving and I hate how slow it is starting from a dead stop I also do hiway driving and pull a trailer once in a great while. Which on do you guys think would fit my needs the best? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
