Turbo "chatter" on acceleration

I am hoping someone has an idea for my problem. I recently installed a 14cm2 non-wastegated housing, bosch 190 injectors, 366 spring, custom ground fuel pin, cooler tubes, and waiting on intake to get here. My fuel screw is in to the collar. It runs alot better than stock but now I have a turbo "chatter" or "bark" in 5th gear while accelerating uphill under medium and heavy throttle. If I stay in it, it will quit when I get in the upper rpm's. I can see boost fluctuating rapidly during this. Any help is appreciated

Yep you're right, it's surging. If you can see it bouncing your needle around then that ain't too good. Mine will do it too with the stock H1C in the same situation. I'm just too tight to buy an upgrade. Sorry, not really any ideas just thought I'd throw in my problem too. Ha.

I've heard timing can be the issue with surging. How do you have your truck timed?

You might try advancing it a little bit. Do a 1/8" bump and see if it solves anything.

Yep, MWE (Map Width Enhancement) slot. Its a "slot" cut in the compressor housing that increases the MAP of the compressor.

What they said. The MWE slot allows excess airflow to cycle out of the compressor and prevents surge. Get a compressor upgrade kit and the noise will go away.

Its the best pic I have, Not very good. Some one copy the pic and add a arrow where the slot is for him.

I bumped timing 1/8" noise is still there, but it seems to have helped top end performance. I'll try a compressor upgrade. Any suggestions on where to get it.

Well, I was wrong about the timing, but you seem to like it, so oh well.

As for the 60mm comp. wheel upgrade, you want GDS CH-05.
