Tune for the BD Power Dyno in April
Hey guys I have done a pile of mods to the ol 90 cummins but I know there is more HP to be had. I have cranked the fuel screw, backed off the throttle stop, did a fuel pin and 3200 spring. I need to get the most out of this pump for the dyno in a few weeks. I cant get my 14mm pump here and on in time so....what else can be done internally for the most flow? Is it worth pulling the afc lever? I need to break 400hp or preferably 500hp with nitrous. Please post all your opinions and recomendations. Thanks.

I didn't see timing bump anywhere. How about bigger sticks to let more fuel through? How are your EGT's right now? Pdr has some 100 hp Stage 4 DDp's that help realize the full potential of all the pump mods you have done already. You have to be able to deliver through the injector what your packin in the pump. Just a couple thoughts.

I'm timed right to the head. I dont think I can get any parts here in time so I was hoping I could push a little moe fuel. Just wasnt sure if internally I could change anything else in the pump.

I can run the pyro up to 1500 if I try and thats at 42psi. Thats why im gonna try the nitrous. I figure if im gonna spray it it may as well be worth it.

With the BD 40's you have, I doubt that you'll have enough fuel to run nitrous. Unless you're blacking out for a bit you'll kill the truck with a big shot. I think the Super B should be sufficient for you sticks. But yeah, remove the AFC and get some bigger sticks.

I built the down pipe from 2 pre bent 4" 90's I bought from an exaust shop and a piece of straight 4" exaust pipe I had laying around. I used the exuast outlet off the original downpipe the turbo came with from BD Power. I just cut it off theirs and welded it to mine.

I run a trail of smoke behind me at WOT and I can run the egt's up to 1500 pretty fast. This should be a representation of the extra fuel I have to burn. Once I can find some dry pavement (still lots of snow here) I will try with the water/meth and see if that by itself is enough to clear up the smoke.
