Truck Stinks

Does anyone elses truck stink? LOL Im not talking about "diesel smell" but his year it seems like I cant stand to be around my truck when its running, the fumes water your eyes horrible and the smell is much much stronger. I wouldnt care but I have to idle the truck to run my winch, and I am beginning to count the amount of lung im loosing every minute.

I have been around diesels most of my life, and this isnt the normal fumes that come with a diesel engine.

Any thoughts?

I'm going to throw timing into the ring.

I know when I was test driving a Superchips Tuner (adds HP by changing the timing), my exhaust smelled quite a bit different.

I know, 12 valve-24 valve, apples-oranges, but I still say your timing may have slipped a bit one way or the other.

Are you still running the stock injectors? They may be tired and drippy, leading to the eye-watering exhaust.

yeah, they are still stockers. I have noticed for a while the awfull smell, and also some blueish "under temp" type smoke coming from the exhaust when left at idle for any short amount of time.

Mine smells the exact same way. In fact, so does a lot of the newer ones where my dad works. We all call it "That Cummins Smell". Even semi trucks where we work smell like that. They smell like a truck stop at night with zero wind. The girlfriend says she can smell it in her house whenever i start it up to warm up. She says I even smell like it after I get done hooking up trailors. I'm pretty well used to the smell, it doesn't bother me, I have slept in the truck alongside the road with that smell. I woke up fine, I was not sick in the least.
