Exclamation Truck quits running

Okay it doesn't just quit all together, it acts exactly like if you shut the key off then back on, and only does it at WOT at higher RPMs (2500-2700) It doesn't die, you just loose the throttle till it comes back down to about 1000rpms or so, or back to an idle, which is exacltly what it does if you just turn the key off and back on for a second. It doesn't do it all the time just once and a while, maybe 2 times in the 5000 miles I have put on my truck, but today, it did it 5-6 times. Hopefully some of ya'll have had this problem and it is an easy inexpensicve fix!!!

Yep I would use some dielectric grease on the connectors and recrimp for more grip. Its a common problem.

Okay the location for the FPS is just above the injector lines coming out of the back of the injection pump. It will have 1 or 2 wires coming off of it. It threads down into the pump vertically. I believe it it 15/16" in diameter. Just pull the connectors off and give them a squeeze with some pliers.

okay, so I assume, that if I unhook the right thing while it is running then it will quit running, so I'll know I am messing with the correct thing, right?

BTW I replaced the connector on mine with a ring connector and use the little nut already on the selinoid to hold it on.. should prevent it from coming loose and not making a good connection......

Thanks alot for uploading that pic, I found that wire and took it off and put it back on hopefully that will correct it, if not I will do what you did and put an end on it to take care of it for good. Mine has two wires and that is what threw me off, I unhooked one and it kept running so I assumed it was the wrong one, but after some looking there were two wires and the second one was the one I needed. I haven't had time to drive it yet so I don't know if I still have the problem, but I know where to look now.

Thanks for all the help!!!
