Raziel- how about an update on how the conversion is going? It's been awhile, thought I'd check in.

Aw ****. didnt think anyone cared haha.

Conversion is going ok. I got some motor mounts welded into the car, i had to replace a rear brake line and lengthen a front brake line so that was super annoying.

The trans is at Aamco getting some custom fittings installed so i can just run rubber hose to the cooler instead of dealing with metal

the engine is going to a local diesel specialist, its having a tough spot cranking over for some reason.. it has fuel and electric.. just hopefully not a big issue

I'm kinda stuck with it being ~20 degrees on and off, snowing, and me working outside though. Project is put off until spring

Anyway, whats the absolute smallest radiator i could run on this thing? i hear that they dont put off much heat, but im running out of room up front in the jummins bay

Manual shifted 12V can get by with pretty small radiators.
The auto transmissions heat exchangers dump a lot of heat into the radiators, so they need a bigger rad..
With you doing little towing, I am guessing, you might be ok with either trans. and a smaller rad..

That's a tough question on this forum. Everyone is usually trying to go the other way!

Maybe look at some industrial applications like wood chippers, air compressors, generators etc.

Or, have the biggest custom rad built that you can fit in the car and hope for the best.

I have no idea what anything under the hood of a Honda looks like.
Isn't a CRV a Honda? A friend's wife drives a CRV, so I have seen them from a distance.

I can say the '92 W150 V-6 motors radiator I pulled a couple of months ago is about the same size as my '89-'91.0 Cummins radiators, if that helps.

If you can mod something small and cheap that fits, give it a shot, just watch the temps for the first few rides.
Summit Racing carries all sorts of custom sized aluminum rads as well that are pretty cheap.

Honda Civic radiator is maybe twice the size of the heater core in our trucks. No joke. I was amazed when I saw the rad in my buddies car.

Bump guys! No real progress.. but i DID manage to cop a real turbo off of a cat inline 6 in a junk yard. The central cartridge spins nicely but has a small metallic sound.. might need some oil to clear that up but it is a good size..
