That is just a Hyd pump, no vacuum. It may have also powered other hyd functions on the Gruman?
That is a big alternator....tons of Amps from that one for sure! Might want to look at mounting a stock 1st/2nd Gen alternator?
Your tensioner is placed where it is most likely due to the accessory set-up....Big Alternator and such. Also your fan hub is an industrial type unit, so if you start mixing and matching parts you may end up having a tough time finding a belt to fit properly.
That does look a tad larger then a stock 1st gen unit. Probably for the allison? If your going to be running a 727/A518 just pick up a 1st gen engine adapter, flex plate and starter.

Joking aside: Like others have said put the front of the Jag up on ramps. Multiple staggered length 2x6's will do. This accomplishes two things: clearance for the hoist and it reduces the angle that you have to deal with dropping the engine into the frame. If the hoist is adjustable for length you will probably need it at the shortest or second shortest setting to lift the Cummins engine due to the weight.

I hear ya on that one....I installed my motor in my crewcab on my sloping driveway once by myself. I had to brace the motor coming out of the garage since I was running down hill, then had to push the motor up hill to get it in place.....I was sweating a cursing that day.

No problem! I agree with you about the weight of the engine but don't drop F-bombs in your posts. Mods frown on it. Good rule of thumb: if you wouldn't say it to your grandma don't say it here. PM's are a different story.

Pick the little old lady of your choosing then.
We attempt to keep things civil and relatively PG on DTR. Leads to less flaming and BS (see what I did there?).
Looking forward to seeing the Jummins project move forward.
