Timing Question.

Well...Today I installed my DDP 366 gov. spring. All I can say is WOW! It's like driving a different truck. After I got back from the test drive I did a little massage to the fuel pin. It made a difference as well. I havent tweaked any of the screws on the pump yet.

I'm considering adjusting the timing a bit. How far should I adjust the timing. Is there a good rule of thumb as to what is best for performace versus best fuel economy? Could ya'll direct me to some good threads.

Also I'm installing a pyro gauge this coming weekend. I'm just putting to and from school. I'm not going to be doing anything crazy to where I would hurt anything do to lack on monitoring the EGT's in the meantime.

Thanks.

well to start your gonna need a cheep 13mm wrench and bend it at a slight angle to get at the rear pump bolt it needs to be bent like a happy face (or dogleg as we call it)then i did a fingers with from the head works well and read in the sticky about it

Try the traditional 1/8" bump for now.

There are timing threads in the sticky.
