tie rod question

does anyone know what handed thread the driver side outer tie rod is suppose to be? i don't know if the previous owner swapped the sides of the tie rod but my driver side is right handed and every parts store around me sells a left handed thread for the drivers side.

hmm know one knows... well my truck must be retared (or the previous owner) because my driver side took right hand threads and it was listed as left hand in every parts store systems.

Which way do the grease zerks point? If it is in the factory position, they should face the knuckle. Mine are facing out, and they are opposite the parts book listing, too.

I have found that the tie rod end part numbers have an R and a L. Assuming this to mean "right side" and "left side" is incorrect and will result in you receiving the wrong part. I now take the R and L to mean "right hand thread" and "left hand thread". The left side has right hand thread, and the grease fittings face forward.
